Halloween is such a fun time of year. The weather has cooled down a bit and decorations are hung everywhere. While I do like a bit of spooky, I'm not really into the blood and gore type of scene. I think you can accomplish quite a lot by adding a few black crows and skeletons.
With skeletons on my mind, this week's "cocktail of the week" is one that I created using local BC Black Goat Vodka -yes you read that right. This vodka is black. Well, you know I love to support local products, but even better to support local products that are doing things their own way!
The black vodka turns a slight burgundy colour when it's mixed with citrus and creme de cassis, hence the bleeding heart name. I love these skeleton hand glasses. They add just the right amount of classy Halloween chic to a fun drink.
Happy Haunting,

The Bleeding Heart

1 oz Black Goat Vodka (or any black vodka you can find)
1 oz creme de cassis
1/2 oz dry vermouth
3/4 oz lemon juice

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until the outside of the shaker becomes chilled. Strain into a spooky glass!
