To tie together this year's Silver and Gold holiday decor theme, I decided to bring a bit of a softer rose gold into our holiday centrepiece to complement the same colours in the Christmas tree visible in the same open area space. I wanted lots of natural greenery and some soft pops of colour to contrast the white surface of our large kitchen island and the neutral room.
Using leftover greenery from my garland and outdoor planters (post here), I used the same process of building a circular centrepiece, from the outside edge in toward the centre. As my other indoor focal points (tree and mantel) are flocked, I used faux snow to soften the centrepieces natural look.
This centrepiece is not in water, so it should probably have a 7-10 window depending on how warm your interior is. I used a spray bottle every couple of days to spruce the greenery leaves up (no pun intended!).
Whether you make this centrepiece of one like it, I'd love to hear your feedback and see any pics!
Happy Holidays,

Two Stags A Leaping Holiday Centrepiece
Materials
1 wooden tray or box
1 small dry floral foam block, cut to fit the tray
A bunch of natural greens (I used pine, cedar and dark green holly)
embellishments (I used white and rose gold ornament ball picks & glitter rose gold ball pics or varying heights)
2 glitter stags (Mine are from Michael's)
1 set of warm white LED twinkle lights
How-To
Step 1:
Place dry oasis block into vessel.
Step 2:
Insert greenery into the oasis at an angle, starting with the fir, working your way around the centrepiece to create a base layer. You want the fir to drape downward. Use your hand to mold.
Step 3:
Using cedar, start to fill in the next layer, working toward the centre of the centrepiece. This is where you can start to add some height with the greens.
Step 4:
Add holly to fill any holes. The holly will add texture and colour to the other greens.
Step 5 (optional):
Lightly spray greens with a faux snow spray and allow to dry for 30 minutes.
Step 6:
Add in the two stag and embellishments.
*As my centrepiece is only seen from the front, I placed my embellishment picks there. If your centrepiece will be seen from all sides, spread out your embellishments so that they are visible from a 360 viewpoint.
*Centre the stags either facing each other (as shown here) or leaping together in the same direction.
Step 7:
Gently weave the twinkle lights throughout greenery so that the wire is hidden and a soft glow shines from the centrepiece.
Step 8:
Light and enjoy your new holiday centrepiece!
