Cinnamon Raisin Granola + Yogurt Breakfast Parfait


Breakfast Parfait's are a great way to get a healthy, nutritious breakfast or day time snack. Filled with protein, fibre, fruit and nuts from the granola, naturally sweetened fruit from the apple sauce and probiotics from the yogurt, you've got a heart healthy meal to keep you going during a busy day.

Cinnamon Raisin Granola + Yogurt Breakfast Parfait

Makes 2


Ingredients

1 recipe for my Dad's Apple Cinnamon Raising Crunchy Granola (here)

1/3 cup apple sauce (or apple butter)

1/2 Skyr Yogurt (plain or vanilla)*


Method

Create parfait layers starting with 1-2 tablespoons granola, top with 1 tablespoon apple sauce (or apple butter) and then 3-4 tablespoons Skyr yogurt. Repeat with two more layers. Garnish with a few thin slices of apple.


Recipe Notes:

*Skry Yogurt is an Icelandic style of yogurt. It has a smooth mild flavour with the consistency of Greek Yogurt.
